Meeting Indiana’s Needs

To help more Hoosiers gain the skills needed to thrive in a 21st Century economy, Indiana is creating a new financial aid opportunity for working-age adults: the Workforce Ready Grant.

Helping Hoosiers & Employers

The Workforce Ready Grant pays the cost for working-age Hoosiers to earn a high-value certificate at Ivy Tech Community College, Vincennes University or an approved workforce training provider.  Aligned with the state’s economy, criteria for high-value certificates include: employer demand, wage, job placement and program completion rate.

Working Together for Indiana

Currently under consideration by the 2017 Indiana General Assembly with support from Governor Eric Holcomb, the Workforce Ready Grant will be managed in partnership by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
