9th Grade
If you plan to enroll in college, pursue the Indiana Diploma with the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal

Consider participating in an extracurricular or service activity. Extracurricular activities at school are a great way to meet students with similar interests. You can also get involved in various service activities in your community, such as through a church, a local youth organization, or a community center.
10th Grade
Consider taking the Indiana Career Explorer assessment. A career assessment is like a personality test. You'll be asked questions about activities that interest you and about your future goals.

Participate in a workplace experience to help you understand what a particular job or workplace is like, as well as teach you valuable lessons about time management and how to act in a professional environment.
11th Grade
Take the ACT and/or the SAT. Strong test scores will look good on your college applications and may help you qualify for scholarships. If you want to try for a higher score before you submit your applications, you can retake these tests to meet any score requirements.

Go on a college tour. By now, you hopefully have an idea of the colleges you might want to attend. If not, you have time. College visits give you the opportunity to tour campuses and get a feeling of what campus is really like!
